Out Damned Spot - Laundry Stain Remover Bar

Here’s the story. We were up in Blenheim for Gardens Marlborough when our business associate splashed red wine all down her favourite (and brand new!) Country Road sweatshirt. With the market in the morning, and few clothes to spare (as the car had been packed full of product!), what could we do? We used the only thing available: our Rose and Vanilla Soap Shampoo Conditioner Bar. It worked better than expected, but we knew we could improve on it. And we did!

So far, our Out Damn Spot! Stain Remover bar has effectively removed port and foundation makeup from a coral linen top, grass stains from cream linen pants, dark chocolate from a cotton shirt, and a blue stain out of a pink sweatshirt (we have no idea what that was!). And, every week, when we are caught up in product making, our Out Damn Spot! Stain Remover gets rid of every spot, splash, patch, and puddle of olive oil that coats our clothes. As you know, we hand-make all our products at home and, we have to say, our old clothes have never looked so fine!

To use: simply wet the spot with a bit of cold water (don’t use warm or hot water to avoid setting the stain). Rub our Out Damn Spot! Stain Remover on the spot until it lathers. Then gently rub the fabric together until you see the stain fading before your eyes. Finally, wash as per fabric instructions.

Ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, Distilled Water, Lye, Eucalyptus Essential Oil.
