Our non-greasy kawakawa oil is a beautifully soft moisturiser for sensitive skin and all skin types. 100% natural and manufactured by us in Aotearoa New Zealand, Oriwa Naturals Kawakawa Body Oil can also be used as a non-clogging facial cleansing oil and moisturiser. You can even use it as a very light hair oil that won't weigh it down - we are all about skinimalism at Oriwa Naturals!
This is Oriwa Natural's best skincare product for sensitive skin. As it has only three ingredients (kawakawa infused extra virgin olive oil, apricot kernel oil, and an essential oil blend) there is very little that could irritate your skin - making it an excellent moisturizer for eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis. In addition, the most common chemical compound in kawakawa, pellitorine, has a light numbing effect which is great for calming dry and itchy skin.
This is our lightest skincare product. The extra virgin olive oil we use is from Robinson's Bay Olives in sunny Akaroa and is rich in polyphenols (very good for your skin), while the apricot kernel oil is super light and absorbent so it won't leave a greasy residue.
Oriwa Naturals Kawakawa Body Oil can also be used as a mother and baby oil, aftershave for men, aromatherapy body massage oil, and even a luxuriant bath oil.
What is kawakawa?
Kawakawa is a native New Zealand plant used for generations by Rongoā Māori practitioners in teas, tinctures, and topical balms for its incredible healing ability. Kawakawa is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, often used to help calm dry, itchy and inflamed skin. It grows in native bush near coasts and waterways and is famous for its leaves with holes - yes, the grandfather leaves with the most holes are the ones to pick! The reason for this is that kawakawa is the only plant in the world that self-heals, flooding damaged leaves with protective chemical compounds.
We are grateful for the knowledge about kawakawa benefits and medicinal uses that we owe to the tangata whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand. All our kawakawa is wild harvested and infused by us; we follow tikanga as much as we are able in our harvesting practice.

Ingredients: Macropiper excelsum (Kawakawa) infused in Extra Virgin Olea europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Cymbopogon Flexuosus Oil (Lemongrass), Cananga Odorata Flower Oil (Ylang ylang).
Always try on a patch of skin before first use. Keep in a cool, dry place out of sunlight. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Please recycle your bottle.

I use it as a night moisturizer after cleaning my face.
Great on my hands too, all the dryness disappeared
Amazing hair oil too.
I even use it on my legs as I have edema and the skin on my lower legs are very dry and this oil even helped to get rid of the discolouration on my lower legs, I am so impressed with this product!

Would now always have this amazing natural oil I have extremely dry skin but now using this oil daily I now don’t have this dry problem. One bottle lasted me a few months so money wise you get value for money ❤️

Fair warning: if your crotch has turned into a damp, itchy little hate crime, this stuff is the business. I was applying it a few times a day and it worked bloody well.
The angry red scrotal apocalypse started backing off and the whole downstairs district became far less of a public emergency.
Best part: it didn’t sting like I’d greased myself up with Satan’s chutney. Just soothing, effective relief for a problem that makes a bloke walk like he’s smuggled a hedgehog in his undies.

I have used kawakawa oil on my face morning and night for several years. I love it and now would use nothing else.
Love this oil. Can be used anywhere on the body, and despite being oil it feels light and smells amazing. Makes my skin feel so smooth and is great that its 100% natural.

My lovely sister gave me two bottles when I was having chemo and radiotherapy, that was two years ago and I have used it daily since. During treatment you quite often experience heightened sensitivity to smells however that wasn’t the case with the oil. That’s a real testament to Orinawa that I still use it daily and love it

I have only been using the Kawakawa body oil for 4 mornings, applying it to my heels and big toes which had dry spots. I already notice a big difference, feet are now lovely and smooth and I like the subtle smell of the oil as well!

I was gifted a bottle of kawakawa oil at christmas time. I was suffering with Perioral dermatitis and this helped it clear it up so quickly. One 200ml body has lasted me 6 months using it daily as a face moisturiser, and my skin has never looked and felt so good.

I've tried so many lotions and potions on the dry skin (snake like) on my legs and this is the only product that seems to make a difference. Its lovely and silky smooth, not greasy and a lovely subtle fragrance. Highly recommend.

Oil absorbs really well! I use it for my son's eczema. I also use it under my makeup and it keeps my skin feeling very hydrated without removing the makeup

It has taken awhile for my skin to adjust but this oil has stood up to the challenge of my skin! Menopause and Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism means my skin is very dry and more susceptible to infections but the moisturising olive oil combined with the antiseptic properties of kawa kawa are the perfect match! Not to mention the lovely essential oils that also smell so good. Thanks for making a great natural product that not only works but is also the answer to a healthier immunity and environment.
